Hi-Energy Weight Loss

When results can’s wait, Hi-Energy Weight Loss is here help you shed the pounds with our Very Low Calorie Diet.

Very Low Calorie Diet

This is a restricted eating plan that helps you accelerate your weight loss. In addition to losing weight, you can also experience improvement in medical conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and others. While on the plan, you’ll enjoy nutritional supplements that replace grocery foods so you can focus on learning new healthier behaviors. In some cases, a VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) may include nutritional supplements and one meal.

How it works?

Our comprehensive VLCD has Four Phases:

Screening: This is where we evaluate your medical and emotional readiness to begin the program.

Reducing: This Weight Loss Phase relies primarily on meal supplements to spare you from having to confront food. It is designed to help you focus on modifying your behavior.

Adapting: Grocery foods are gradually reintroduced during the Adapting phase, before you move on to Maintenance.

Maintenance: This phase is designed to sustain your weight loss and keep your healthy eating lifestyle intact.

In each phase, you will learn and apply healthy lifestyle skills needed to promote long-term success. Of course, your doctor will tailor each phase to your needs.

Telemedicine

We’re thrilled to be offering you secure video visits. While we love it when you visit us in the office, we understand that it’s not always convenient to do so. Video visits allow you to receive the same quality care as you do in the clinic, without taking time off work or finding a sitter to see us.

Video visits are appropriate for many types of appointments, especially follow-up and minor urgent care. Feel free to request a video visit when you call in to make an appointment.

It’s simple and easy.

Important Things to Know:

  • These are secure video visits and HIPAA approved.
  • You will need to have a smart phone. Both iPhone and Droid phones work. Flip phones do not work for video visits.
  • You do NOT have to download any apps.
  • The software we use is called Doximity.
  • Your will receive a text message from Doximity stating your physician and/or provider has sent you a secure message with a link.
  • You will click on the link.
  • The link will have a consent page that you will need to accept.
  • You will then receive a message to join the meeting. From there, the physician and/or provider will begin your video visit.
  • Depending on your phone provider and your plan, you may incur some costs for the data used to complete the video chat.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Diagnostics

While focusing on preventive care for the future, The Veranda recognizes that your time is important to you. Whether you’re not feeling well or you’re just coming in for an annual check-up, at The Veranda we understand that today’s busy schedules can leave you pressed for time. That’s why we provide the most common diagnostic laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound studies all within our office. At The Veranda, these studies can be provided without the hassle of visiting another facility and going through additional paperwork. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of diagnostic and medical services while accommodating the needs of our patients.

Confidential and Privileged Therapy

At The Veranda, we recognize that the sensitive information you share with the therapist is privileged and confidential. Specific therapy notes are maintained in a restricted separate system from your general health information.

While your electronic health record will contain diagnostic, prescriptive and goals for achieving improvement, the specific therapy notes and information are not part of your medical record and, by Georgia law, are not able to be provided to anyone (even the patient).

Aging & Geriatric Therapy

Aging, although a natural process, may present challenges for some individuals and their families. Although many older adults look forward to moving from middle age into their later years, it may be difficult for others to adjust. As they pass middle age, all adults may experience some health issues and stress; the support of a therapist or other mental health professional can help ease that transition. At the Veranda, we help seniors address issues from childhood or early adulthood, current life adjustments, and issues such as stress, anxiety, depression or family concerns.

Pediatrics

As a parent, you should have high expectations for quality pediatric care as your child grows from infancy into adolescence – and we enjoy meeting those expectations. You will find experience and compassion from our medical team, extra convenience with our onsite diagnostic center and a refreshing experience for your child as you wait in our sick or well “gardens”. We look forward to helping you raise healthy and happy children.
